The Information Technology Security Staff (NHI)
- develops and maintains NARA’s agencywide information technology security program. The authorities for the Information Technology Security Program derive from OMB Circular A-130, and the Federal Information Security Management Act of 2002 (FISMA).
- develops and maintains NARA’s User Awareness Program.
- certifies NARA IT systems and advises management with regard to risk prior to accreditation.
- develops procedures for detecting, reporting, and responding to security incidents.
