The Office of Information Services' ERA Research Staff was recognized for persuasively communicating the importance of NARA's mission and needs to the computer science and engineering communities and delivering the fruits of leading-edge technical research to NARA. The ERA Research Staff has forged a number of partnerships that have promoted the development of new technologies and raised awareness of the importance of electronic records. The ERA research program is increasingly recognized nationally and internationally as a significant contributor to the advancement of technologies for digital preservation and sustained access.
