Conservation Laboratory
The drawings in "Designs for Democracy" are fragile records. To ensure their preservation while on display, each was examined by a conservator who assessed its condition, recommended necessary conservation treatments, and set limits for light exposure. Exhibit designers and curators worked with conservators to select framing methods and materials best suited to protect each item.
