“Aaron Fairbanks, County of Los Angeles, Manpower Division”

By Susan Smith, ca. 1976.

This photocollage was part of an art exhibit entitled “Californians at Work,” which was created through a grant under the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act. In the mid-1970s, organizations began assigning small offices or cubicles to office workers rather than having them work from desks in large open rooms.
