Teachable Texts from the National Archives at New York City
The records of the National Archives at New York City reveal many aspects of our history. The educational applications of these primary sources are limitless. In this regularly updated "Teachable Text" feature, a variety of National Archives records will be highlighted to help teachers and students better understand our past. The Teachable Text resources will include a document download, transcription, discussion questions, extension activities, and connections to standards.
If a teacher finds unique and effective ways to use these documents in their classroom and would like to share them with other teachers, please contact christopher.zarr@nara.gov
