September Constitution Week at the National Archives and Records Administration

Washington, DC . . . The National Archives and Records Administration will present "Four Little Pages," a one-act musical play on Wednesday, September 23 in conjunction with its month-long celebration of the 211th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution of the United States.

The live performance will be held at noon in the theater of the National Archives Building, Pennsylvania Avenue between 7th and 9th Streets, NW. The program is free and open to the public. The time and date may be verified by calling the National Archives public events line at 202-501-5000 (TDD users may call 202-501-5404). Four Little Pages Originally commissioned for the Constitution bicentennial, "Four Little Pages" is an original one-act musical that takes the audience on a spirited journey through the events that led to the creation of the United States Constitution. Benjamin Franklin is the protagonist/narrator, with other delegates from the Constitution Convention joining in the historical journey.

The play is appropriate for all ages. David Chambers is the playwright/lyricist and the musical score was written by Mel Marvin. Franklin Roberts is the producer. Sponsored by the National Constitution Center of Philadelphia for Constitution Week 1998.

The audience will be able to "sign" the Constitution following the performance and receive a souvenir button. Noon. Theater.
