MEMORANDUM TO FEDERAL AGENCY RECORDS CONTACTS: Bimonthly Records and Information Discussion Group (BRIDG) Meeting on Wednesday, February 10, 2010.
Please mark your calendars for the next BRIDG meeting that is scheduled for Wednesday, February 10, 2010. The meeting will be at the National Archives and Records Administration downtown building, 700 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW (Metrorail's Yellow or Green lines to the Archives/Navy Memorial station). The meeting will begin at 11:00 a.m. and last approximately until noon.
Agenda topics will include:
- FY 2009 Records Management Self-Assessment Update
- Final FY 2009 E-Records Reporting
- RACO 2010, Washington, D.C. and Chicago
- FY 2010 Electronic Records Guidance
The Federal Records Center Program will hold a FRC Forum from 9:30 AM until 10:45 a.m. The Forum will discuss the Office of Personnel Management's proposed rule clarifying agency responsibility for the maintenance, disposition, and costs for servicing Official Personnel Folders (OPFs). FRCP management will discuss its understanding of the rule (regulation), milestones to implementation, and possible customer agency impact. The full text of this proposed rule is available online at http://edocket.access.gpo.gov/2010/pdf/2010-809.pdf
To reserve a place for the meetings, please provide your name, telephone number, and agency via email to RM.Communications@nara.gov, no later than Monday February 8, 2010. You may reserve places for several staff in the same email, but for security purposes we must have each individual's name and telephone number. Please note that you no longer need to register separately for the FRC Forum and BRIDG meetings, but please indicate if you are planning to attend the FORUM in the morning or afternoon. Please contact Shannon Olsen at 301-837-0603 if you need assistance.
NARA reserves the right to postpone or cancel a meeting at any time. We will make every effort to contact registrants by e-mail and telephone if that occurs, so complete information at the time of registration is very important. Meetings WILL BE CANCELLED if the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) announces a “closed,” “unscheduled leave,” “liberal leave,” or "delayed arrival" policy for Federal employees for that day or if there has been an elevation to threat level RED in the Homeland Security status. Official Government closing and leave information is located on the OPM web site at www.opm.gov.
