Herbert Hoover Library

Papers of Boyden Sparkes, 1911 - 50, Sparkes was a journalist and biographer of prominent Republican business men. He wrote a column for the Saturday Evening Post from 1925 to 1937, and copies of his columns were kept in numerous scrapbooks. In addition, he wrote dozens of short stories for various publications. Some of his noteworthy books include "Life of an American Workman" about Walter Chrysler and a biography of Tom Girdler, the founder of Consolidated Aircraft Corporation. 9 linear feet.
