  • Papers as President, Press Conferences, 1933 - 1945
    21 multi-page transcripts have been digitized from this series. This series is part of the President's Personal File collection which was set up to contain correspondence concerning matters in which the president took a personal interest. It includes 9,125 files. These files vary in size according to subject matter and include incoming and outgoing correspondence, memoranda, printed material, and newspaper clippings; partial records of telephone calls kept by the president's personal secretary; diaries and itineraries compiled by the appointments secretary; transcripts of Roosevelt's press conferences prepared by the Office of the Press Secretary; and a master file of speeches given by the president (PPF1820). These transcripts are held by the Franklin D. Roosevelt Library (Hyde Park, NY).

  • Franklin D. Roosevelt: Transcripts of White House office conversations, 1940
    The multi-page transcript has been digitized. It is a transcript made from "secret" wire recordings of conversations which took place in FDR's White House during the third term campaign. Conversations include comments from or about Sam Rayburn, Cordell Hull, Wendell Wilkie, Frank Hague, Steve Early, Herbert Lehman, A. Philip Randolph, Frank Knox, Lowell Mellet, Japan, segregation in the U.S. Navy.  This transcript is held by the Franklin Roosevelt Library (Hyde Park, NY).

  • Speeches of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, 1933 - 1945
    819 items have been digitized from this series. This series consists of speech materials and suggestions, carbons of speeches, shorthand notes of conferences 1941-1945, shorthand notes of speeches 1943-1945, and 4 folders of quotations. The Documents come from the First Carbon, PPF 207 (Kennedy, Joseph P.), and the PPF 200: Public Reaction Correspondence files. The First Carbon file consists of carbons of speeches, including the "Fireside Chats." The PPF 207 files relate to Joseph Kennedy and the PPF 200 related to Public Reaction correspondence. These materials are held by the Franklin D. Roosevelt Library (Hyde Park, NY).
