Records Relating to Holocaust-Era Looted Cultural Property: An Aid to Provenance Research

This web portal is a project of the Joint International Project to Extend Access to Records Relating to Holocaust-Era Looted Cultural Property. The website content will grow over time as the focus is broadened to encompass different aspects of the activities involving cultural property (e.g., looting, identifying, recovering, and restituting) as well as holdings of additional member organizations or institutions. Each member organization will identify the key groups of records among its holdings that relate to restitution of cultural property. The project has two stated goals:
  1. Describe, digitize, index, and make available online records and information about records in member institutions
  2. Develop and establish  a website to facilitate federated searches of holdings in member institutions
