Classification 104: Servicemen's Dependents Allowance Act (Obsolete)

This classification was established in January 1944 for investigations of violations of the Servicemen's Dependents Allowance Act of 1942 (Public Law 625, 77th Congress). Investigations conducted prior to 1944 were filed under Classification 46: Fraud Against the Government or Classification 62: Miscellaneous. The investigations focus on the unlawful receipt of servicemen's dependent allowance by women who are not the legal wives of those servicemen.
