Workshops for Teachers

National History Day*

The National Archives at Atlanta presents a workshop to help teachers prepare their students for National History Day (NHD) competition. The workshops are for teachers with some understanding of the NHD curriculum.

All sessions will be presented by Education Specialist, Joel Walker. Mr. Walker has been associated with NHD for twelve years. As the state coordinator of Kansas History Day from 1997 to 2000, and the director of National History Day in South Carolina from 2000 to 2009, his programs produced numerous national award recipients. He has judged at every level of the NHD program from school contests to the final round of the national contest at the University of Maryland.
