At-Home Learning: The Constitution at Work: Elementary Edition

National Archives Museum
Online

Tuesday, May 19, 2020 - 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. EDT

Register for this or any of our upcoming programs for students and families.

This 45-minute program geared toward grades 4-6 will be presented by the National Archives in Washington, DC.

How is the U.S. Constitution relevant to the daily lives of American citizens? What does the board game “Monopoly” have to do with the U.S. Constitution? How about the letter you wrote to the president when you were in elementary school? The answer to both questions is: plenty—if you know your Constitution! This program provides a unique opportunity to learn, via analysis of primary source documents, about the content, impact, and perpetual relevance of the U.S. Constitution to the daily lives of American citizens.

This program is part of our spring series of online, interactive-learning programs for students and families. Programs are available for preschool through 12th grade, and are scheduled weekly through the end of May. All programs, offered via a web link in partnership with the Presidential Primary Sources Project, will take place at 2pm ET / 1 pm CT / 12 pm MT / 11 am PT.
