Bruce Mathews and Steve Noll to Discuss Kansas City: Our Collective Memories

National Archives at Kansas City
Kansas City, MO

Monday, May 22, 2017 - 6:00 p.m. CDT

Kansas City’s 178-year history may best be told through its collectibles – from photographs and artifacts held in museums and other archival institutions, to be sure, but also from personal collections, from the snapshots, souvenirs, and other remembrances deemed important or interesting enough by families and their neighbors to preserve. Professional photographer and local historian Bruce Mathews and Steve Noll, executive director of the Jackson County Historical Society, walk through a uniquely illustrated history of our city in a discussion of their new book Kansas City: Our Collective Memories. This program is presented in partnership with the Missouri Humanities Council.

Reservations are requested for all programs by calling 816-268-8010 or emailing kansascity.educate@nara.gov.
