Chief FOIA Officers Council Meeting

We are conducting this open meeting in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act (5 U.S.C. 552(k)). The Director of the Office of Government Information Services (OGIS), National Archives and Records Administration, and the Director of the Office of Information Policy (OIP), U.S. Department of Justice, co-chair the Chief Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Officers Council.

The Chief FOIA Officers (CFO) Council develops recommendations for increasing compliance and efficiency and shares best practices and innovative approaches.

This meeting will provide an overview of the CFO Council for new Chief FOIA Officers. It will also feature updates from OIP, OGIS, and the CFO Council Committees.

Members of the public are welcome to:

1. Watch the livestream on the National Archives’ YouTube Channel OR

2. Attend the meeting virtually through Webex. Those attending the meeting via Webex will need to connect to the audio portion of the meeting by telephone.

To present oral comments during the Public Comments portion of the meeting, you must register to attend via Webex.


Registration Information for Attending via Webex

There is a two-step registration process to virtually attend this meeting.

  • You must register by 11:59 PM (EDT) on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.
  • The week of the meeting, registrants will receive an a message from OGIS that provides information on how to join the meeting online and connect to the audio by calling in using your telephone. To hear the audio in the meeting, you must connect to the audio through your telephone.
