Concerned Student 1950 (2016)

In this short film, produced by Field of Vision, a series of racist acts prompts three University of Missouri students to pick up cameras and take us inside Concerned Student 1950, the student movement whose peaceful protest brought down the University of Missouri college president. Directed by Adam Dietrich, Varun Bajaj, and Kellan Marvin. Post film panel discussion moderated by Erik Bergrud of Park University, with Dr. Rebecca Davis, University of Missouri-Kansas City; Dr. Delia Cook, University of Central Missouri; and Dr. Clarence Lang, University of Kansas. This film series is presented in collaboration with the American Jazz Museum and the Greater KC Black History Study Group.
