Why Is Understanding Auschwitz Relevant In The 21st Century?

David Harris, a lifelong Jewish activist, has led American Jewish Committee (AJC) since 1990. He was referred to by the late Israeli President Shimon Peres as the “foreign minister of the Jewish people.” Harris will discuss the rise in antisemitism globally, the receding memory of the Holocaust, and the enduring lessons of Auschwitz for our world.

Given the recent spike in COVID-19 cases, JCRB|AJC now requires that all guests attending the event in person on January 19 be fully vaccinated (with booster if eligible) and wear a mask for the duration of the event. Guests will not be admitted without proof of vaccination. They will also be contacted by JCRB|AJC with instructions for pre-submitting proof of vaccination.

Event by Jewish Community Relations Bureau - JCRB / AJC, Union Station Kansas City and Harry S. Truman Library and Museum.
