Think of the National Archives and you think of Washington, D.C.  But did you know there are Archives here in Southern California that are open to the public to use? Are you aware you can see and read U.S. government records in more than 10 languages?

Join us for one or both free programs about the public institution that's been keeping America's official records for almost 200 years, and learn how to use the research center located just 70 miles east of Los Angeles: The National Archives at Riverside.

Tailored for Students, Educators, Scholars and Writers, the Afternoon Program (2:30-4:30 p.m.) will cover the use of resources in Riverside as well as National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) facilities across the country. Presentation will include an overview of current research trends and a Question & Answer period.

Of general interest for adults and teens, the Evening Program (6:00-8:00 p.m.) will cover records created by selected Federal agencies, including U.S. District Courts. Topics will include Chinese Exclusion Acts, Japanese Internment, Enemy Aliens, Genealogy, Hollywood, Native American history, NASA, criminal and civil court records, and land issues. A Question & Answer period will follow.

FREE Admission, FREE Parking -- But Space is LIMITED -- Get tickets for one or both!
