Austin, TX

What to Expect

Usually one of our busiest days of the year, Explore UT is a day-long event on the campus of The University of Texas at Austin that invites Texans of all ages to experience robust research experiences, hands-on demonstrations and experiments, and participate in the richness of the university's scholarship and knowledge.

What You'll See

Our exhibitions include interactive displays, videos, images, and artifacts that guide visitors through the life and legacy of the 36th President of the United States, Lyndon Baines Johnson, and his wife, Lady Bird Johnson.

Things you don't want to miss

Make sure to visit the telephone conversation stations throughout the library to listen-in on recordings that document many of the major events and decisions of LBJ's administration and provide insight into the complexity and daily management of the office of the presidency.

Stop by the interactive exhibits on the Vietnam War and the Six Day War that detail the president's decision-making process.

Step into a replica of LBJ's Oval Office and see artifacts from his time in the White House.

All events listed in the calendar are free unless noted.
