Secretary Mattis, who is regarded as one of the most formidable strategic thinkers of our time, will talk his latest book, “Call Sign Chaos: Learning to Lead,” a firsthand account of his incredible career, from leading troops into battle in three wars, and commanding American forces across the Middle East as head of CENTCOM.

Throughout this deeply personal book, the Secretary recounts his foundational experiences as a leader, extracting the lessons he learned about the nature of warfighting and peacemaking, the importance of allies, and strategic dilemmas now facing our nation.

Call Sign Chaos is a memoir from Marine recruit to four-star general, to Secretary of Defense. It is a story of discipline and dedication, and how the Secretary developed a unique leadership philosophy–one that is sure to resonate with all of us.
