Even though the Truman Library is currently closed for a massive museum renovation, this popular event will continue on the museum’s front lawn.
TIMELINE: The Doo-Dads will kick things off with their “kid-cool rock ‘n’ roll” concert at 10:30, and the bounce house, yard games, and White House-style egg roll will run from 10:30 to noon. The Easter egg hunts—one for ages 5 and under and one for ages 6-12—will begin at approximately 11:15.
PARKING: A limited amount of parking is available at the Truman Library on a first-come, first-served basis. For your convenience, a free shuttle will also be available from the Independence Square. The shuttle will run between the parking lot of the Pharaoh Cinema 4 (108 South Liberty Street, Independence, MO 64050) and the Truman Library from 9:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Free parking is available in the Pharaoh’s parking lot and throughout the Square.
