Harry Truman called General George C. Marshall “the greatest military man that this country ever produced.” Winston Churchill named him the "organizer of victory" of World War II. Today, in our era of tumultuous leadership, few lives are more worthy of examination than General George C. Marshall and his 50 years of loyal service to his nation.

Join us for the next History Happy Hour featuring author David Roll, whose recent book tells the story of America's most distinguished soldier-statesman who influenced the course of two world wars and helped define the American century. Set against the backdrop of four major conflicts—two world wars, the Korean War and the Cold War—Marshall's education in military, diplomatic and political power, replete with their nuances and ambiguities, runs parallel with America's emergence as a global superpower.

Tickets for this History Happy Hour at 3 Trails Brewing are $10 for Truman Library Institute members or $15 for non-members and include one drink ticket and appetizers. Following the program, Roll will sign copies of "George Marshall: Defender of the Republic."
