Life at the Farm
"I Don't Suppose You Could Ask for More"

With the purchase of their Gettysburg Farm, Ike and Mamie finally achieved their dream of owning their very own home. They dreamed of retiring quietly in the countryside, however their farm served as much more than a simple retirement home. It served as a political and diplomatic tool throughout the President's two terms as well as a place for him to recuperate all while running a thriving cattle operation. This discussion explores the many facets of the place Ike and Mamie called home.

The 2020 Lunch & Learn series is made possible courtesy of the Eisenhower Foundation and the Union Pacific Foundation.
