The Margaret Truman Memorial Reading Group - March Meeting

Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum
Independence, MO

Monday, March 19, 2018 - 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. CDT

Margaret Truman Daniel (1924-2008), was known as a vocalist, television personality, mother of four sons, and an author of many nonfiction books and several novels. We remember the only child of Harry and Bess Truman by reading and discussing one of her books each month. In March, the Reading Group will convene to discuss Murder at the Washington Tribune. This mystery takes the reader into the capital's chaotic fourth estate. At the big, aggressive newspaper The Washington Tribune, a young woman has been murdered. The hunt for her killer is making sensational and lethal headlines as the newspaper staff competes against the police department to solve the crime first. The walls come down between family, friendship, ethics, and ambition while a killer hides in plain sight.

Fee Information: None; participants only need to acquire the book. Copies are available at the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum, at branches of local libraries, and online bookstores.

Contact Doug Richardson of the National Park Service for more information.
