I am excited to be working at the National Archives. In my five years with the agency I have learned to expect the unexpected. The number and diversity of our customers coupled with the statutory responsibilities we have regarding our holdings ensures that things are never boring and are constantly changing.

I recently joined the Presidential Materials Staff in Washington, DC. The office serves as a liaison to the White House, providing information on the Presidential Library system, guidance on issues relating to Presidential records, and technical assistance.

Previously, I was an archivist at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum and the Nixon Presidential Library & Museum.

During my years at the National Archives, I have been able to work on several interesting projects:

  • I process mandatory declassification review and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests for documents in our holdings.

  • I enter descriptions into the National Archives Catalog.

  • I have conducted research on PERPOS, a prototype system that enables archivists to gain physical and intellectual control of the user-created files contained on the computer hard drives from the George H. W. Bush administration.

It is incredible to delve into the records and discover firsthand the inner workings of the presidency and our government.
