Graphic and Animation Design Internship
Digital Engagement Motion Graphic and Animation Design Internship (Office of Exhibits) – Remote or in Washington, DC
This internship opportunity involves the design and production of 2-3 digital media pieces for a National Archives Museum exhibition and website about the Vietnam War. The exhibition, which will open in late October of 2017, will cover the period of the United States' involvement in Vietnam from 1955-1975. You will work remotely or onsite at the National Archives in Washington, DC under the guidance of the exhibition curator and graphic designer. The digital media pieces will each be 2-4 minutes in length, on the following subjects:
- The Second Indochina War in the context of Vietnam's history of resisting external aggression
- The nature of the conflict and the combatants involved
- The extend of bombing of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia (data-driven animation)
Experience creating motion graphics and animations is necessary for this position. An interest in American history, public history, and/or education is beneficial.
