Congratulations, you have completed NARA Organizations and Its Facilities module. Remember:
- The Archivist of the United States, appointed by the President, is the head of the NARA organization and is responsible for the planning, development, and administration of all programs and functions of NARA.
- Assisting the Archivist are staff that directly support the NARA organization. Staff, administrative, and service organizations assist in helping carry out NARA's mission.
- All NARA employees and organizations throughout the country are connected and are vital parts of NARA.
- NARA has staff organizations and program services. Each of these organizations has specific functions which are designed to work as a cohesive unit to serve NARA's customers.
In the next module, we will examine how NARA manages our Government's information.
