At NARA, our work touches all stages of the records lifecycle.

The Federal Register and Information Security Oversight Office (AISOO) assist the President and components of the Executive Branch in publishing records of their actions and in properly implementing laws and executive orders relating to the protection of national security information in records.

Presidential Libraries assists the President in managing records while in office, and preserves and provides access to these records at the end of a presidential administration. Legislative Archives interacts with Congress at all stages of the lifecycle of its records.

Agency and Research Services provide records management assistance to officials of the Executive and Judicial Branches, support appropriate records disposition, and preserve and provide access to records of continuing value. Let's take a closer look at each of these.
