Agency Services: National Records Management Program
d Collage of images showing NARA staff members documenting records.

Under the direction of NARA's Chief Records Officer (AC), the National Records Management Program (ACN) assists agencies in meeting their obligation to document their activities and ensures availability of their records for as long as needed. The program operates nation-wide in an environment of shared policies, procedures, information, and training curriculum. Staff members participating in the program establish priorities for records management initiatives in agencies of the Executive and Judicial Branches of Government and coordinate contacts with agency officials involved in Federal records management work.

For more information on the National Records Management Program, visit the (NARA Staff Link) National Records Management Program website.
