At the National Archives, simply giving access to our holdings is not enough. We are committed to providing opportunities for the public to see, use, and learn from the records of our Government, and in doing so, develop a greater understanding of the history, culture, values, and ideas that have shaped our nation.
Public programs and exhibits are available nationwide at our regional facilities, the Washington, DC, area and also in the Presidential Libraries where interactive exhibits, lectures, performances, classes, ceremonies, and special visits from former Presidents occur regularly.
Next, we will take a closer look at some of these public programs and exhibits.
