  dcterms:description "Kodak Cineon (CIN) files were created by the Cineon System, which was one of the first computer based digital film systems created by Kodak in the early 1990s. It was an integrated suite of components consisting of a motion picture film scanner, a film recorder and workstation hardware with the Cineon Digital Film Workstation software. The workstation was used for compositing, visual effects, image restoration and color management. The software stopped being offered in 1997. CIN files are binary raster format files and lack the header information that the successor format, DPX, has. Since Cineon is no longer supported and is a proprietary format, it is recommended to convert the files to TIFF when possible." ;
