In order to serve you better.  I would like to ask the briefers to give us 

here in the WW a mirror version of your briefing book, because so many 

things are left out of the all staff copy of the briefing book (which is 

the one we receive now) and it is hard for us to tell what briefings you 

have received for the day and what briefings you have not received.



Example:  Tonight's dinners.  I wanted to make sure you had table diagrams 

and all the bio info  you needed and it took me a couple of hours today to 

try to track down a) if you received the briefings in your book and b) to 

convince the powers that be to give us a copy so we could look it over.  I 

got everything at the last minute and I didn't have a chance to look it 

over.  When we do get copies of dinner list/briefing etc. - - it gives us 

the opportunity to look thru and see if you will be seeing anyone who 

might be on  your call list or someone who just had a birthday, baby etc.  



I know there are certain things we shouldn't see such as the President's 

Lunch memo from Ron, etc, but I do think we can help ensure that you have 

everything you need if we had a better idea of what actually went into 

your book.  I have been trying to find ways to help make your day run 

better, and I know that the briefing book is sometimes a big problem.  

Making sure that we receive a mirror copy of what you get would be a step 

towards staffing you more efficiently  I got this idea from the POTUS 

outer office (Nancy, Betty, and Kris), because I asked them how they dealt 

with briefings trickling in all day long and they informed me that they 

always receive a mirror copy of what the POTUS gets in his briefing book 

each morning in the office or on the road.



Anyway, I apologize for bothering you with this, but is seems that I need 

your blessing on this to make sure it happens.
