Other than to put the topic of the rego anniversary event in the VP's 

luncheon memo for lunch with the President - I have not had any 

conversations.  A scheduling request sent in a while ago came back marked 

"pending."  It would be helpful if you pushed them for a date because we 

need to know when to release the report. I prefer to do it outside D.C. -- 

I think it gets more play.

 	I assume we will want to hold Sept. 9 for the Gore Commission 

report to the President.  Other than that I understand that the only two 

days they are together in D.C. are Sept. 4 and 13.

Elaine, have you had any further conversation with the President's office 

re:  REGO anniversary event?  I'll be going to a meeting tomorrow where it 

may come up and I just need to know where it has been left.  Also, if you 

have any paper on the Gore Commission event proposal for the 9th, that may 

come up too.  THANKS!!
