TEXT:
I think we have $5 million from Smithsonian, $6 million in NEH, $7 million

in NEA, $6.6 million in IMLS, $0 in National Park Service and $0 in

National Archives. So at $23 million, we already have a decent sized

program. But what we are pushing for, and what we included in a VP memo

for his lunch w/ the President this week is some level of minor funding

for the Park Service and for Archives. If the two combined had $3 million

then we would have a $25 million effort to digitize America's cultural and

historical collections.

Talked to Ellen Lovell last night - she doesn't think that any

of the $50 million they have for Millenium will go to digitization.
