The research room at the National Archives at New York City is open for original records research by appointment Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. We are also open on Tuesdays, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. for computer and microfilm research on a walk-in basis (computer and microfilm research is by appointment only all other days). Please email newyork.archives@nara.gov for more information or to request a research room appointment. Please see these frequently asked questions for further information about conducting in-person research at the National Archives.

Our Learning Center is open for walk-in hands-on educational activities on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Student field trips and teacher professional development sessions are available by appointment only, see Student Visits for more information.
