Microfilm Publications

Throughout the years, NARA reproduced many of the most frequently used records as microfilm publications and made these available in our research rooms. These publications are being systematically digitized to further expand access to our holdings.

Among the microfilm publications are several that relate to Alaska. These include reproductions of original records created by the Alaska Division of the Bureau of Indian Affairs which is held by the National Archives at Washington, DC. Also included are microfilm publications of records previously held by NARA before being returned to Alaska organizations, such as the Records of the Alaskan Territorial Governors.
