The correspondence and papers of John Anderson (1802–35), Presbyterian clergyman, educator, college president; John Byars Anderson (1848–1902), educator, railroad official, financier; William C. Anderson (1821–70), John Byars' older brother, Presbyterian minister, educator; and John A. Anderson (1857–1905), Presbyterian minister, educator, statesman. The collection contains correspondence, documents, and other items pertaining to railroad construction, the Presbyterian ministry and its missionary societies, Miami University of Ohio and Kansas State Agricultural College, and John A. Anderson’s career in Congress and as consul general in Cairo.
