Population Removal Report On
The Almond-Judson Communities

Thousands of families were removed from their homes to accommodate the construction of Fontana Dam. This report describes the devastating effects of these land acquisitions to the Almond and Judson communities from Swain County, North Carolina as both villages would be inundated by flood waters from the Fontana Reservoir.
