Photograph Of Early Construction Of Y-12

This photograph depicts early construction of Y-12, one of the uranium enrichment facilities used to produce fuel for the atomic bomb. The two people viewing the construction of the building are not identified. From the uniform the man on the right is likely a member of the Army Corps of Engineers who over saw the construction and operation of the facility.
