"Salute" Newsletter At The Augusta Arsenal

Many military installations published their own newsletters during the war in order to inform and entertain their civilian and uniformed populations. The Augusta Arsenal in Augusta, Georgia published the "Salute," a weekly periodical that featured a variety of causeries concerning war news, humor, poetry, beauty tips, and installation activities. These records provide a unique and interesting view of daily life in the 1940s.
