Atlanta National League Club, Inc. And Ted Turner
v. Bowie K. Kuhn

Atlanta Braves owner Ted Turner, sometimes referred to as "the Mouth of the South," offended Commissioner Bowie Kuhn's sensibilities about owners discussing free agents when he publicly voiced his desire to get Gary Matthews of the San Francisco Giants on his team. This lead to a dispute between the two men that eventually landed in federal court.
