Capital Baseball Club's Third Appeal For The Use Of A Bus During Baseball Season

During World War II, many items including gasoline and tires were strictly rationed. The Capital Club baseball club submitted a request for the use of a bus to transport the players to eight different cities across North Carolina and Virginia during the course of the baseball season. The team was denied since "the use of a bus for the transportation of a baseball team is not one of the exceptions listed."
