Mel Ott's Death

Former New York Giant Mel Ott died in a head-on collision with a car driven by a contractor named Leslie Curry, an African American man who was also killed. Mr. Curry's widow brought a civil lawsuit against Mel Ott's estate claiming that he was at fault. There were indications that Ott may have been drinking; however, Ott was cleared.
