Speech By David Lilienthal

Eager to establish his organization as a major player in the mobilization for war, TVA Director David Lilienthal presented several speeches to different groups around the Southeast and elsewhere. This speech, given at a public dinner tendered by Publisher of the Nashville Tennessean Mr. Sullivan Evans and broadcast nationally by Columbia Broadcasting System, described TVA as a solution to many national defense deficiencies in the wake of the coming conflict.
