Women's Army Corps (WAC) Basketball Game

About 150,000 women served in Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) and Women's Army Corps (WAC) detachments during World War II. The 111th WAAC Post Headquarters Company, headquartered at the Charleston Port of Embarkation in Charleston, SC, fielded a basketball team that played the College of Charleston women's team in January 1944.
