Russian Atomic Bomb Progress

In light of the Soviet Union's detonation of its first nuclear device on August 29th, 1949, U.S. officials contemplated the need to "examine the secrecy classification of current operations". The Soviet Union had already obtained a great deal of information about the Manhattan Project through spies during WWII.
