Captain Colin Montgomery, brother of Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery, was Chaplain of the British Hospital Ship "Dorsetshire" which arrived at the Charleston Port of Embarkation on November 16, 1944. Captain Montgomery sailed and gave spiritual aid on hospital ships for more than three years during the war.
