Bell Bomber Plant Highway Project

Workers at the Bell Bomber Plant in Marietta, Georgia manufactured 663 B-29 aircraft during the war. In order to support the start of production in 1943, Marietta's roads needed repairs and improvements. This project called for work to be done on 3.31 miles of roads at an estimated cost of $480,000. Funding for the project came from several sources.
