Report On The Sinking Of U-128

On May 17, 1943 U.S. Naval aircraft sank the German submarine U-128 off the coast of Recife, Brazil. The U.S.S. Moffett rescued 51 members of the crew who became prisoners of war and were interrogated about their sub and its mission. U.S. Naval Intelligence compiled the results of all such interrogations into a series called "Post Mortems on Enemy Submarines" and distributed them to the intelligence offices of the various naval districts. These images are an excerpt from the forty-two page report.
