Civil Aeronautics Administration Letter |
The Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) welcomed a new Administrator, T. P. Wright, in September 1944. In his introductory letter to employees, received by the Flight Standards Division in Atlanta, Mr. Wright outlined his vision for the CAA, which included "a substantial increase in the scope of work" and an "expansion of activities." With an eye toward a post-war society, this trained aeronautical engineer understood the importance of developing the infrastructure for future civilian air travel. He went on to serve in this capacity until 1948. |
